C4D Staffer Spotlight: Tonya Vinas, Senior Content Strategist

As part of a new, special blog column, we’ll introduce you to the C4D team. Get to know us and uncover what we’ve learned from our B2B content marketing experience.

For our first installment, Senior Content Strategist Tonya Vinas shares her innermost thoughts, perspectives and business mantras.

At Work:

What current B2B marketing trend is inspiring you right now?

I like content bundles. It’s a great way to up the value of individual content pieces through repurposing and by association with related pieces.

What’s one of your favorite projects you’ve worked on and why?

I was the scriptwriter on a video case study of a large beer distributorship in upstate New York. It was a fantastic family-owned operation with a lot of energy, doing a lot of interesting things. Plus I got to taste some great microbrews.

Where did you go to school, and what did you study?

I graduated with a journalism degree from Kent State University, infamous for the May 4, 1970, student shootings. Ohio’s National Guard was monitoring war protestors and started firing on a group of unarmed students, killing four and wounding nine. It happened right outside the journalism school, so I walked past the memorial markers every day.

At Play:

What city do you live in, and what’s great about it?

I live in Cleveland, a great city. Lake Erie is beautiful, the people are fun and down-to-earth, and we have an amazing park system. And then there’s the Rock Hall, which I go to often.

What are your “words to live by?”

I live by the words “let loose what you can’t control.” I try not to dwell where I can’t make a difference.

What’s your favorite TV show?

Right now I’m binging on episodes of The Munsters. Fred Gwynne’s physical comedy is hilarious. He was perfect for that role.
