Account Manager

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Emerald is seeking an Account Manager to support our Content4Demand (C4D) team. Content4Demand is a best-in-class boutique b2b content marketing agency operating within Emerald. We boast an impressive client portfolio and talented team with a strong reputation for turning B2B buyer complexity into smart strategies, compelling stories and engaging content experiences.

The Account Manager is a core role at C4D generating revenue from new enterprise and qualified accounts while maintaining, developing, and expanding the current client base. This role owns client development; proposal to presentation through delivery, ensuring the client’s success with C4D. The Account Manager is responsible for business development and new client acquisition through all typical outreach including some travel with conference attendance and client meetings.

We are looking for a friendly expert communicator, in all environments, with a talent for building strong relationships with all levels of stakeholders. Our world is fast-paced, so you will need excellent time management and prioritization skills with the ability to ensure accuracy and high quality across multiple deliverables.

  • Development of new client logos while expanding and maintaining strong account base.
  • Strategic understanding of C4D accounts and their content marketing needs to determine best opportunities for growth.

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B strategic sales including the ability to generate, nurture and develop B2B sales leads and close
    strategic sales
  • Experience with marketing and content marketing topics or experience working in a marketing agency environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to client management and clients’ success
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Experienced in Salesforce, web-based application tools, web-based project management tools, Microsoft Office Suite

Editorial Project Manager

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Emerald is seeking an Editorial Project Manager to join our Content4Demand team. Content4Demand is a boutique B2B content strategy and creation agency operating within Emerald that works with select organizations to design custom marketing solutions, with a focus on delivering a high degree of responsive, hands-on service and attention to detail.

The Editorial Project Manager plays a key role in planning, managing and editing marketing and editorial projects for C4D clients. These projects include consulting services or content assets such as eBooks, blogs, infographics, videos and interactive experiences. The Editorial Project Manager manages the production, delivery and documentation of services and content assets, and manages client expectations by keeping them informed throughout each engagement and ensuring that they have a clear understanding of the C4D editorial and consulting delivery process.

Content4Demand is a highly collaborative and supportive team. We confidently balance and prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects at a time, and maintain positive, professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. We take initiative to proactively identify challenges, make decisions aligned with C4D best practices and the needs of our clients, and escalate client service issues as needed. In addition, this team is versatile, with an interest in taking responsibility for a variety of tasks in an environment where every team member wears multiple hats.

  • Manage editorial project schedules; track discrepancies between planned and actual project timelines; anticipate and address issues that may impact schedules
  • Schedule and preside over project kickoff calls, weekly/bi-weekly client status calls, internal project calls, and calls between writers/contractors and client-side subject-matter experts
  • Maintain positive, professional and friendly relationships with client stakeholders; manage client expectations and understand/communicate issues that may affect client relationships
  • Select, onboard and manage freelance writers and project specialists
  • Edit drafts of white papers, e-books, infographics, video scripts, and all other content deliverables at all stages of production to ensure that messaging and style is aligned with client specifications, concepts are well organized, copy is well written, follows grammar and style, and design aligns with client expectations
  • Assess and address client feedback on drafts and layouts
  • Apply C4D best practices to perform last-line quality assurance on all outgoing client deliverables
  • Work with the C4D design department on content asset layouts and interactive content development projects
  • Assist other CSMs as needed in urgent or critical client deliverable instances where the primary CSM is unable to execute and cover team member accounts as needed for PTO and other absences
  • Work with account managers to ensure that project work stays within scope and on budget
  • Work with content strategists and the design department to prepare C4D consulting deliverables for client presentations
  • Calculate recognized revenue on a weekly basis and advise on monthly forecasts for client projects
  • Experience and working knowledge of editorial and/or marketing project management experience
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, including the ability to make fast and accurate changes to copy to address client feedback.
  • Experience managing client relationships
  • Experience with, or the ability to learn, project management tools, interactive content platforms and other software/services as required
  • Familiar with basic B2B marketing concepts, including content marketing concepts/best practices and demand generation techniques and terminology
  • Experience sourcing, hiring, managing and evaluating freelance contributors
  • Proven experience working effectively in a home and/or remote office environment
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Documents required
  • Experience with Adobe InCopy and Adobe Acrobat Professional a plus
  • Available for travel as needed

Target Compensation: $70,000-$80,000
