Fast & Easy Friday: A Recap of the Week’s Top Content Articles & Insights

It’s been about a week since we returned home from the sun and fun of the B2B Content2Conversion Conference in Scottsdale, AZ.

My body is in shock returning to the cold New Jersey weather, and my wardrobe has sadly shifted from sundresses and sandals back to cozy sweaters, boots and leggings. But I’m still reliving all of the awesome tips, takeaways and success stories from #C2C16 by looking at all of the great recaps from the show! To bring our coverage of #C2C16 to a close, I thought it would be appropriate to spotlight some of our favorite conference reviews and recaps (other than the great coverage on Demand Gen Report, of course):

  • B2B doesn’t have to mean “be too boring”: This is definitely one of my favorite quotes from the conference (courtesy of David Meerman Scott). Our friends at SnapApp put this theme at the center of their recap and showed how different sessions touched on the power of interactivity and multi-touch demand generation. This article even outlines some of the key takeaways from the Killer Content Award presentation featuring Amy Bills of Blackbaud. For its Realize Real Results campaign, the company used interactive content and created a compelling content hub so buyers could consume content on their own terms.
  • #C2C16 in a sassy nutshell: We respect people who keep it real, and the Sassy Marketer definitely does so in her review of #C2C16. This blog eloquently breaks down the key trends and takeaways, while also integrating some killer commentary. For example, account-based marketing is a hot trend in the B2B world, but as the Sassy Marketer notes, this isn’t a new concept at all, especially in sales. She also added in some inspirational thoughts for marketers striving to navigate the industry’s new rules and realities.
  • Getting interactive: Rachel Parker, content marketing expert and one of the top tweeters from the conference, practiced what all the speakers were preaching at #C2C16: It’s time to think interactively. She steered away from the typical written blog and did a podcast of the top insights from the show. This is a great overview to listen to on your commute or even while you’re doing work at your desk!
  • In summary…: Our friend Cari Baldwin of BlueBird Strategies kept it short and sweet by focusing on the top five takeaways from the conference. One of the standout topics was the power of video. There were some great case studies and sessions showing how B2B brands used videos to engage and convert buyers.
